Data Staged
MITRE source definition
Adversaries may stage collected data in a central location before exfiltration. Staging consolidates, organizes, or prepares information obtained from one or more sources so it can be reviewed, processed, transferred, or retrieved more efficiently.
Data may be staged on a compromised local system, another system in the victim environment, a cloud instance, shared storage, an application repository, or other remote infrastructure. It may remain in separate files or be combined into archives, databases, structured documents, manifests, or other collections. Adversaries may compress, encrypt, encode, split, rename, or otherwise transform staged data.

MITRE case studies
These are explicit source relationships, not independently reproduced incidents or validated detection coverage.
Simulation and telemetry boundary
This is a technique reference page, not a runnable simulation. No ATLAS-specific telemetry mapping, local attack execution or detector validation is asserted. MITRE maturity describes its source evidence, not a 1200km lab result.
For broader context—not technique-specific control mappings—see AI Security, AI Security Course, and detection-validation methodology.
